Research Fellow

Monika Knudsen Gullslett

works in Study 2. She has a Master degree in Sociology from University of Oslo, 1999. In the ongoing research she is enganged in the question of how Users experience and cope with crisis and how they describe helpful help from Crisis Resolution Teams(CR/HT).

A significant part of the current evolvement in the field of the Norwegian Mental Health services from non-institutional models of mental health care for psychiatric problems is the introduction of Crisis Resolution/Home treatment teams (CR/HT). These teams offer a specified service with two specific functions: assessment and direct care. The aim of this study is to gain in-depth knowledge about how service-users in crisis, particularly those individuals in psychotic crisis, describe their own life-world experiences of the crisis and their experiences of the support from the CR/HT team.

Knudsen Gullslett is registered as Doctor of Public Health at The Nordic Shool of Public Health, Gothenburg, Sweden.
